How a Drying Machine Works?

Wood has excellent properties such as smaller density and greater strength, resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, better insulating properties, easy cutting, beautiful texture and colour. Wood is used in large quantities in various parts of the national economy, such as construction, machinery, vehicles, ships, textiles, agricultural tools, furniture, musical instruments and aviation. However, products made from undried wood cannot be guaranteed quality, so wood is dried using a drying machine.

How a Drying Machine Works?

In normal operation, the fuel is fully burned in the combustion chamber to produce heat energy, which is fully absorbed by the drying medium in the heat drying system to produce a temperature of about 180 degrees Celsius. Under the action of the circulating fan, the high temperature airflow is transported to the drying chamber for drying the wood through the control system and conveying system. At the same time, the steam generating device on the equipment can produce a large amount of atmospheric pressure steam, which can be sent into the drying room at the right time according to the requirements of the drying process, to spray steam and moisture conditioning treatment on the wood, the moisture conditioning system is an independent steam system, equipped with safety devices.

The saturated wet steam can make the surface temperature and internal humidity of the wood converge in a short time, thus achieving the purpose of drying the wood internally and externally at the same time. For solid, heavy hard and thick wood, the intermittent heating drying process can be used, solving the defects such as internal cracking, end cracking and deformation of the wood in the drying process, making the finished rate of high quality wood much higher.

The timber drying equipment is equipped with a heat recovery system, which substantially reduces the drying costs and shortens the drying cycle. When the moisture content of the wood is reduced to below 15%, after 6-8 hours of high temperature dry steaming, all the moths and eggs parasitised in the wood can be removed and killed, solving the adverse effects caused by moths and increasing the economic benefits for the enterprise.
